Addiction happens when an individual’s life becomes unbalanced due to his/her substance use or compulsive behaviors. Addiction affects the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects of a person's life. The process of overcoming addiction can be uncomfortable for the individual, their family, and friends but can bring out growth and positive change for all involved.
