Mental Health Care for Organizations & Businesses

Behavior Management Systems is a leader in helping the business community increase employee morale and decrease turnover. We do that through our Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) and management/staff training.

Our Services

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

When you hire a new employee, that individual brings to your organization his/her acquired and developed skills and expertise; he/she also comes with personal issues in tow. More than 90% of employees agree that their mental health and personal problems tend to spill over into their professional lives and have a direct impact on their job performance (Mental Health America 2013), yet many owners and executives admit that mental health care for organizations/businesses is not a part of their company plan.

The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) from Behavior Management Systems promotes mental health care for organizations by offering employees the chance to seek qualified, confidential help for a variety of issues and/or disorders. For employers, the EAP can greatly affect the organization's profitability. In fact, a report from the US Department of Labor found that for every dollar invested in an EAP, employers generally save between $5 and $17 (US Department of Labor reported by EAP, Inc. 2000).

Our EAP is tailored to fit the unique and individual needs for mental health care for organizations/businesses. It includes the following features:

  • Brief, yet comprehensive treatment.

Our focus is on problem assessment and timely recovery, and getting employees back to work.
  • Confidentiality.

All services are confidential, and employers receive no identifying information on the employee.
  • Reduced risk.

An employee assistance program can decrease the number of work-related accidents, lower the use of health insurance, reduce a company's health insurance premiums, and improve productivity and morale by reducing absenteeism and turnover.
  • Qualified staff.

All clinical services are provided by Masters educated professionals who are trained to quickly deal with the issues facing your employees.
  • 24-hour help line.

    Professional help is always available.
  • Comprehensive coverage.

Employees can seek help for other family members, therefore, reducing distractions that are not work-related.

Management & Staff Training

Behavior Management Systems would be happy to schedule a management and/or staff training session that is customized to meet your needs in mental health care for your organization or business. Session topics might include:

Emotional Intelligence

Emotional intelligence is a critical factor in dynamic leadership and building meaningful and satisfying lives. Emotional intelligence is the ability to sense, understand, and apply the power of emotions as a primary source of human energy, authenticity, and intrinsic motivation. Executives can help their organizations champion their performance by accessing this source of power and energizing their people.

Stress Management

Learn the stress cycle and what you can do to break away. Take daily vacations. Discover role models who appropriately and successfully manage the stress in their lives. Use physical techniques to control stress buildup in your body. Increase your quality of life and productivity at home and on the job.

Conflict Management

Learn how to approach conflict in the workplace and beyond. Find the tools to help you manage conflict and turn a potentially bad experience into a positive learning environment. This training will help participants understand that conflict is not inherently negative—it can actually be the beginning to renewed understanding.

Time Management

How do successful people manage their time so well? They don't! Successful people understand that you cannot manage time, but you can manage what you do with your time. In this course, participants learn to identify the roles they play and how to manage their activities within those roles. Participants will walk away with a roadmap to help them become a more effective time manager.

Sexual Harassment in the Workplace

This presentation includes an overview of sexual harassment, how to identify harassment, techniques on preventing harassment, and details on management's responsibilities on protecting all employees. This training is a must for employers wanting to demonstrate to employees that they take harassment seriously.

Effective Communication in the Workplace

Miscommunication can cost an organization time and money. This course will help your managers, supervisors, and employees give and receive directions correctly the first time.

Supervising the Challenging Employee

This workshop gives managers and supervisors the information needed to effectively deal with difficult employees. Topics include handling the employee with a bad attitude, recognizing signs of emotional problems, suspecting employee substance abuse, and much more…

Motivating Your Employees

A humorous, yet serious, look at employee motivation. In this training, supervisors take a look at some of the traditional motivational programs and learn why they don't work. They will then discover techniques to help them develop true employee motivation.

Violence in the Workplace

Homicide is the 3rd leading cause of fatal occupational injury in the United States. By examining the causes of workplace violence, this presentation helps employees and managers promote a safe, secure, and productive working environment.

Federal Drug Free Work Act

Our training program will inform your employees on the dangers of using drugs on the job. In addition, we provide written materials to assist supervisors and other employees in sensitive confrontation of coworkers who may be endangering themselves, fellow employees, and the company through the use of drugs. Federal law requires this service for some employers.

Commercial Drivers License - Controlled Substance And Alcohol Testing

This training is designed to meet Department of Transportation requirements that all supervisors of commercially licensed employees be trained in the effects of alcohol and controlled substance use. Supervisors will learn the effect of alcohol and drugs, how to detect their use, how to respond if reasonable suspicion exists, and how to make a referral to a qualified substance abuse professional.
