...and break down the stigma associates with mental illness!

BMS is launching a brand new, very unique fundraiser!

How To Participate

  1. Click the "Join a Team" button
You'll be taken to our page on DonorPro
  2. Join one of five teams or create your own.
Each person will need to sign up by providing an email address and creating a password so we can send a thank you note for your support which will double as a receipt for tax purposes. BMS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit so your contribution is tax deductible. Your personal information is used only for BMS purposes; it will not be shared or sold.
  3. Ask two friends to join your team.
No one wants to be left out! Invite your friends, challenge your co-workers and even ask family members to join your team. Mental illness affects every one of us, whether directly or through those we know and love. We need to solve the mystery by getting the facts out into the light and talking about one of the most misunderstood illnesses today.

The winning team (the team that collects the most in donations by May 28, 2017) will be recognized at a casual outdoor event to be held at the end of May where everyone will be invited!

Our new fundraiser is geared to maximize every donor dollar for education and client services. No more fancy parties, which were a lot of fun but costly, resulting in fewer dollars directly helping those in need. Instead, we are going to use our website – no formal attire required! We are still having fun, but in a different, more fiscally responsible way to ensure your dollars are being used to help those in need.

Let's have some fun competing for a serious subject. Join one of our teams and help them reach or exceed the goal! Please ask 2 friends to join your team. Let's eliminate the mystery around mental illness.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month

Mental Illness is one of the most misunderstood disorders. Help us stamp out the stigma associated with mental illness. Let's get some accurate information in our conversations and share with people that there is hope for recovery.

1 in 5 of us living in the Black Hills will have a diagnosable mental illness in any given year.

That means we are impacted either directly or indirectly by mental illness. Healthy minds are just as important as healthy bodies to maintain thriving communities.
